It is amazing to me that as a lifelong resident of WNY I had never seen Zoar Valley until a year ago. Inspired by tales of Valentine Flats, I took a small canvas, some brushes, acrylics and a thermos of Vodka tonics, hopped in my little convertible and headed into the sunshine. The result was a light all over tan and the first in a summer long series of paintings of Zoar Valley. To have access to such natural beauty in my "backyard" is a blessing. I hope to continue exploring and enjoying Zoar Valley for years to come.
