The legendary beauty of Zoar Valley has drawn visitors from
all over the country for at least 150 years. They hike the
trails through the old growth forests, enjoying the unique
birds and plant life. They fish its waters and raft the
spring rapids. Since the mid-19th century, artists have
been honoring the awe inspiring beauty of the valley and
its vistas as well. The Olean Public Library is hosting a
multimedia, interdisciplinary exhibit called "The Art of
Zoar Valley 2" in July 2008. Our goal is to honor Zoar and
the artists it has inspired over the years, educating
people about this gem of Western New York. The library is
located at 134 North Second Street Olean, New York.
